Expo Velo-city 2009
Velo-city 2009 and the Expo Velo-city came to a close on Sunday 17 May with their crowning bicycle event Dring Dring. Despite the bad weather, both the indoor and many of the outdoor events were enthusiastically received.
The Expo, which had never before been staged as part of a Velo-city conference on such a large scale, made a valuable contribution to the Brussels event as a whole. Velo-city and the Expo Velo-city have shown that both the organizers and the participants are on the right track and are keen to promote and improve urban cycling further in the future.
Our thanks go to the conference participants, the exhibitors, the representatives from the national and international press and, last but not least, all those who visited the exhibition and Dring Dring festival. We would be delighted if Velo-city 2009 has had a lasting impact on cycling in Brussels and across Europe, and we hope to see you again in Copenhagen in June 2010 for Velo-city Global.
