Programme Expo Velo-city 2009
The Expo Velo-city programme includes both activities for visitors to get involved with and entertainment for them to enjoy. Attractions such as:
• the Bicycle Lift
• various Test Tracks
• the Velo-city café
• and the bicycle carousel
will give members of the public the chance to test out new cycling infrastructure and products for themselves or to simply have a leisurely look at what’s on offer. The Velo-city café will not only provide an escape from the hustle and bustle, but will also serve as a venue for presentations and entertainment. The following projects will be presented:
• Beewise – Bicycle theft show,
• Mundubicyclette – Exploring the Orient by bike,
• Luc Pire & Hervé Louveaux – Presentation of the book ”100 questions sur les droits et devoirs du cycliste” (100 questions about cyclists’ rights and responsibilities).
Various exhibitors at the Expo Velo-city will also present their products and projects on the café stage.
Above all, the aim of the exhibition with its four exhibition areas – Products, Infrastructure & Expertise, Cycling-friendly world and Cycling policy – the various pavilions, the poster boulevard and the fantastic exhibition atmosphere, is to provide fun and entertainment. The final crowning jewel in Brussels’ bicycle week will be the enormous Dring Dring cycling festival.
